Environment / Props | Better Than Reality VR

Worked on environment development and prop production for a recently released project for Better Than Reality VR.

My primary contributions focused on creating and refining a range of environment assets, including modular building kits, vehicle-adjacent props, lighting fixtures, and ground materials. I was responsible for elements such as road surfaces, street infrastructure (including lighting poles and safety bollards), and supporting prop sets that helped establish the environment's overall visual consistency.

The workflow involved a combination of Maya for modelling, UV layout, retopology, and trim-sheet optimization, alongside Substance Painter for texture authoring and refinement. I also contributed to material creation and iteration using Substance Designer and Sampler, integrating scan-based and procedural workflows where needed.

In addition to asset creation, I assisted with set dressing and environment assembly, working with modular kits to help bring cohesion and readability to the space while maintaining performance and production constraints.
